You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Istanbul’s artistic heritage, and a new way of seeing the city through its intricate and meaningful details. I’ll tailor this experience to your skill level. • Meet at Devridaim, a co-working space and cafe, where I’ll show you how to optimize your phone’s camera, touching on framing, perspective, and lighting. • Embark on a walk through Yeldeğirmeni, a neighborhood known for its murals and quirky architecture, to practice your new skills, and head to Moda for panoramic views of the Sea of Marmara and Istanbul’s skyline. I’ll offer one-on-one guidance throughout. • Along the lively Bahariye Street, you’ll work on portrait and street photography, experimenting with natural light and dynamic angles to capture the urban pulse of this magnificent city. • If you like, we can return to the cafe to review your photos over a cup of coffee, and I’ll offer guidance on your creative techniques. Whether you’re an avid photographer or just getting started, you’ll leave with images that reflect a unique view of Istanbul, and enhanced photography skills to use everywhere.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn about its deep-rooted significance and craft your own ceramic keepsake infused with meaning. • I’ll welcome you to my studio and explain the origins and cultural significance of the nazar boncuğu, a symbol of protection in Anatolian and Mediterranean traditions. • Get a behind-the-scenes look at ceramic craftsmanship, from traditional techniques to the creative process behind each handcrafted piece. • Choose a pre-made mug or plate and decorate it using classic and contemporary ceramic painting techniques. Your piece will be transformed through glazing and kiln firing, with pickup available the next day.
