Our 250-year-old three-bedroomed fisherfolk’s home is in beautiful Staithes, where quaint historic cottages nestle together on the hillside leading down to the harbour and beach. It is half-way down the steep hill in the old village, a five-minute walk to the harbour, beach, pubs, restaurants and unique shops. We have a parking space, four poster bed, open fire and roll top bath. VERY IMPORTANT - please read the information below before you book to make sure it’s the holiday home for you.

Hillfoot Cottage is a cosy and comfortable 350 yr old cottage which began life as a pig sty in the quiet country village of Yearby, near Redcar. Offering peace and tranquility with local walks on your doorstep. Located a short drive to the seaside town of Redcar and Market town of Guisborough, within 1/2 hours drive to the North York Moors National Park and Whitby and within 1 hours drive to the Yorkshire Dales. An abundance of wild birds are to be found in the gardens of our cottage.

Ideally situated for walkers, cyclists and families looking for a home from home break away. A stone's throw from the picturesque High Street that offers a bakers, butchers, small supermarket and a great selection of pubs, restaurants and take-aways. Accommodates 6 guests in 2 bedrooms (maximum 4 adults plus 1 child and 1 infant with a single Z bed and a cot). The second bedroom can be made up as either a Superking or a twin. Outside space includes secure courtyard for bikes.
