Our cottage is situated directly on the Five Pits Trail, which provides miles of trails for walkers, bike and horse riders, there are also fishing ponds 500m along the trail. It's a beautiful character cottage newly renovated to a high standard. It is ideally situated, with Hardwick Hall 5 minutes drive away and the Peak District on our doorstep. Matlock, Crich Tramway Village, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall within half an hour. We also have a hottub for you to relax in at the end of your day.

Nestled in the Rutland village of Cottesmore and between the market towns of Oakham and Stamford is Pheasant Cottage. The village shop offers an extensive Off Licence, Post Office and local Grasmere Farm produce. The Sun Inn is a moment's walk and serves great food and outdoor seating. There is also a Fish and Chip shop within walking distance. Rutland Water and all that it offers is a 10-minute drive in the car. Lovingly refurbished a few years ago the cottage has a contemporary feel to it.

Originally converted from a barn in the 1850s, it has been recently refurbished to a high standard but still retains many original features.

The kitchen is well equipped for everything you would need, also has a dishwasher and washing machine. There are some beautiful walks and pubs in walking distance.
